Scholarship Program

In January 2026, we launched the Pad Up Scholarship Program after seeing how financial struggles keep some girls from joining high school—sometimes leading to early pregnancies or lost dreams. We invited applications and, with limited funds, enrolled two girls in extra-county boarding schools. We currently sponsor Grade 10 students from very impoverished homes, covering school fees, uniforms, and supplies. A budget of 100,000 Ksh / $1,000 supports a girl for a full year.

We aim to enroll 2–3 more girls next year. Every contribution counts—monthly or yearly. It takes a community to educate a girl; join us and make a difference. While the Pad Up A Girl–Kenya Scholarship Program has already transformed the lives of several girls, limited funding and high demand remain key challenges. Your support can help us sponsor more girls, provide ongoing mentorship, and ensure every beneficiary completes her education with dignity and confidence.

– Continuity of mentorship, guidance, and monitoring is challenging with a growing
number of beneficiaries, with limited volunteers who also are balancing with their full time jobs.

– Many girls in underprivileged communities need support, but the organization can only sponsor a few due to budget constraints.

– The selection process can be challenging, as it’s difficult to prioritize among many deserving candidates.

Scaling the Program

– Expanding the scholarship program nationally is challenging due to funding, logistical, and operational limitations.

– Reaching girls in remote or underserved areas who are most in need requires additional resources and partnerships.
